Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) has recently expanded its facilities by renovating the Automotive Laboratory thanks to a new dynamic driving simulator (HAV - Human Autonomous Vehicle) that allows the simulation of highly realistic environments.

The new laboratory adds movement, incorporates virtual reality environments and integrates equipment for the measurement of physiological parameters (respiratory rate, heart rate, direction of the gaze, among others) to determine the cognitive and emotional state of the driver/passenger.

HAV joins the Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) family of laboratories with HAL (Human Analysis Lab) in order to improve the development of advanced products together with its customers.

For the start-up of this new facility, the IBV has received funding from IVACE through the Nominative Line S8021000 (Ref. IMAMCJ/2019/1 and IMAMCJ/2020/1) distributed in favour of the technological centres of the Valencian Community approved by the Generalitat’s Budget Law.
