Fitwork Conference in Romania

Instituto de Biomecanica (IBV) took part last 13th of December in the Second Term Meeting of Fitwork project "Good practices to develop physical activity programs at work" hold in Bucharest (Romania).During this event, the partners has settled the core definition for the Good Practices Guide.

 




Fitwork Conference

On the occasion of the Second term meeting of the Fitwork project, the conference Good practices for the development of physical activity programs at work was held on 13th of December, organized by ROMTENS Foundation in Bucharest (Romania).

Occupational medicine professionals, physiotherapists, specialists in kinesiotherapy and health and safety professionals attended the event.

The conference allowed the presentation of the FITWORK Project to the attendees, with the innovative aspects of it and introducing some of the contents that will contain the guide of good practices, as a result of the project and that will be published at the end of the project (June 2018).

Throughout the day, the European network ENWHP transferred the important role of promoting health at work, IBV showed the procedures and methodologies for the identification / evaluation of ergonomic risks and their effect on the development of musculoskeletal disorders.

The project partners of FITWORK consortium are the following entities:

  • Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) (Spain): project coordinator and expert in ergonomic risk assessment of the workplace.
  • Coimbra University (CU) (Portugal): Expert in physical activity and sports sciences, they will be in charge of the development and implementation of physical activity programs.
  • Technische Universitate Eindhoven (TU/e) (Holland): Expert in motivational aspects and development of persuasive technologies, they will incorporate the motivation and adherence to the programs of promotion of the health in the jobs.
  • KOMAG (Poland): Company in which the pilot test will be carried out.
  • ROMTENS (Romania): experts in occupational health.

 

In addition, the project counts with collaboration of ENWHP (European Network of Workplace Health Promotion) and INNEX, Italian company that will also participate in the pilot test as end user.
