The IBV's researcher Ricard Barberà, has participated, as DIAMOND project researcher, in the event organised by ITF (the International Transport Forum, an intergovernmental organisation working to advance the global transport policy agenda): Gender Bias in Artificial Intelligence Data, with relation to transport data.

It has taken place virtually Monday 29th March, from 3pm to 4pm CEST.

The participation of Ricard Barberà (researcher at IBV in representation of the DIAMOND project) in the discussion has been very valuable, given the importance of the Diamond project to overcome some of the challenges with regards to gender bias in AI data across the EU. Organizers have focused the conversation around gender bias in databases used for transport policy at the moment, the problem that this presents from an equity point of view, and ways to overcome some of the challenges encountered by policy makers, researchers and the private sector.
