The characteristics of the spaces and workstations affect the development of the work in a very relevant way, on the one hand from the point of view of the safety and health of the workers, but also in relation to the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity in the tasks.

Under this approach, within the framework of the TRAIN4HCWORK Erasmus+ project, it is now available online a course that joins together the disciplines and key aspects to consider for the development of human-centered workplaces in industrial environments.

The course was presented during the last online multiplier event, which had two sessions, one in Spanish and the other in English, with the support of the member of the TRAIN4HCWORK consortium (FEES, IAD-TAD Darmstadt, UGA Grenoble and STRUCTO) and with the participation of Mercedes Sanchis, Raquel Marzo and Alberto Ferreras from Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) staff, a luxury expert staff on workplaces and human-centered design.

“Human-centered work environments consider the characteristics and needs of people in their design and implementation to ensure the proper performance of tasks in all facets”, affirms project Director José Serrano from IBV.

The multiplier event was successful, with more than 350 people inscribed from 12 different countries. “The participation was outstanding and it shows that TRAIN4HCWORK will help in the design and managent of human-centered workplaces in the near future”, states Giuseppe Caprara, Innovation Manager at IBV.

The project has ended on May, and the final meeting also took place online. “This consortium is strong and skillful and it opens the way for further collaborations” continues Serrano.

The course is available in English, French, Spanish and German.
