EIT Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Koenraad Debackere as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the organisation.

Mr Debackere has been a professor of Technology and Innovation Management at the KU (Catholic University) Leuven since 1995 and now also serves as the General Manager. He has received several international awards and nominations for his research activities in the area of technology and innovation.

“It has always been my ambition to create new ways to connect innovations in research with entrepreneurship and business expertise,” said Mr Debackere, adding that “EIT Health will play a key role when it comes to driving innovations in the healthcare arena and making them accessible for healthcare professionals, patients and citizens. I’m very happy to be part of that endeavour.”
