Head of Sports Innovation at IBV, Enrique Alcántara, and the Manager of the Assessment Service of Products and Environments at IBV, Fernando Gómez, attended to the 1st Football Turf Summit which was held past 9th of October 2018 in the FIFA Headquarter in Zurich.
This summit was open to all FIFA Licensee and FIFA Accredited Test Institutes, and it covered general topics regarding the FIFA Quality Programme for Football Turf and updates from the Technical Advice Group. The objectives of the Summit were:
- To permit the different stakeholders and parties holding an interest in the development and implementation of technical standards for artificial football turf to engage in discussion and consultation on technical and industry standards in an informal setting.
- To permit FIFA to inform the stakeholders and parties holding an interest in the development and implementation of technical standards for artificial football turf of the deliberations and outcomes of the Turf Technical Advisory Group meetings.
FIFA also hosted a networking cocktail to provide an open space, and non formal, for the interaction of the different actors involved in Football turf.
