DIAMOND project tests in the IBV’s autonomous vehicle simulator starts in March

DIAMOND project has the aim of ensuring inclusion of women´s needs in current and future transport systems. To achieve this objective, the DIAMOND consortium has defined four different use cases and stablished a methodology for collect data and to provide recommendations and protocols for each of them.

The four uses cases are:

Railways and public multimodal transport; automated vehicles; vehicle sharing; corporate social responsibility and employment.

Instituto de Biomecánica (IBV) contributes to the project with advanced methodologies for evaluating user interaction and generating design criteria and requirements based on a human centered approach, to enhance the in-vehicle women’s emotional experience and to increase acceptance in the case of autonomous vehicles.

In addition, IBV has an autonomous vehicle simulator where tests with users will be done to analyse the passenger's emotional appraisal.

In parallel with these tests, DIAMOND partners has launched a cross-country data collection campaign to know how transport systems and services can be improved to increase the number of female transport workers and users. You can participate here:
